Have you ever heard of a Water Festival? It’s a conference for kids! Water Festivals are held all over the country to give students a splash of water education. Since 2004, the Northglenn-Thornton-Westminster Water Festival has hosted more than 7,000 4th and 5th grade students. Thanks to professionals who shared their knowledge with these students, the event has been a success! Now the Cities are working together to provide the Water Festival again this year.
Presentations focus on water-related topics such as water/wastewater treatment, water conservation, weather, utilities, water quality, Colorado water law, wildlife, and the environment.
Contact us at info@ThorntonWater.com if you would like more information or you are a 4th or 5th grade educator that would like to attend the water festival.
The Save the Water Web site is an ongoing effort of the City of Thornton Water Resources Division
